The State Board of Directors of CSBA recommends that all striped bass derbies run by chapters of CSBA be on a hook and release basis. The board finds this to be particulary important in the waters of the bay and delta where striped bass are self-sustaining and not stocked. The implementation of this policy will be at the discretion of the individual chapters .
