The State Board of Directors of CSBA recommends that all striped bass derbies run by chapters of CSBA be on a hook and release basis. The board finds this to be particulary important in the waters of the bay and delta where striped bass are self-sustaining and not stocked. The implementation of this policy will be at the discretion of the individual chapters .
CSBA State Board
The CSBA State Board, is composed of three members from each chapter, and is the governing body for all seven chapters. The CSBA State Board sets policy and provides a unified voice for all of its members on issues that affect the striped bass such as proposed regulation changes, water diversion issues, and other issues where a unified voice from the membership is beneficial. The State Board meets the third Wednesday of each month and any CSBA member is welcome to attend. Officers for the current year are as follows:
